About Nomos
Nomos is an association dedicated to promoting and developing knowledge in key areas of interest, including law, human rights, sociology, politics, public health, technoethics, education, the democratization of emerging knowledge, scientific research, artificial intelligence, data science, and topics essential for the 21st century. Our focus is on improving human conditions, social well-being, and the well-being of other living beings and the environment.
We foster collaboration between academic institutions, universities, research centers, technology companies, and online and physical platforms to connect experts, collaborators, advisors, researchers, and other associations. Through our activities, we aim to provide technical, scientific, and legal knowledge to those in need, promote accessible educational opportunities, and democratize knowledge.
We organize practical workshops, courses, and sessions to enhance access to emerging technological and scientific competencies, produce and share scientific literature and publications, and create educational and outreach activities such as conferences, seminars, and interdisciplinary meetings. We also seek funding through grants and research projects and work in collaboration with national and international organizations to develop technological solutions for global social challenges.
Our mission includes advocating for public policies and laws on topics like artificial intelligence ethics, the responsible use of science, and the protection of fundamental rights in a technological world. All our efforts are non-profit.
